Day 9: More Funk Lounge > Walking > The Mall > Plitsvice

Took a few more hostel pics this morning. Really can’t say enough about the experience. Clean, safe, friendly … $18.

I did have to rent a towel for 2 euro … But otherwise no complaints. My roommate was from Zadar and was there for a death metal concert. She got in really late, but didn’t snore. Much. All good.

I showered and packed up by 9:45am or so … then navigated to Old Town Zagreb to wander. I honestly never did find the area that I stumbled across the day before, but no matter.

My next mission was to purchase a phone bank thing for backup charging, because my phone hasn’t been keeping up with my picture taking. I found a mall, and successfully purchased said phone bank, a travel hairdryer, lip balm, shampoo, and a 5x mirror to replace the one I left a few hotels back by mistake. (Speaking of which, a lot of the reason I need a mirror is to brush my fake lashes … they are no longer fleek. They be draggin. But oh well.).

Getting out of town was nice … I did get hollered at by the toll guy because I didn’t know what was what. But again, oh well. After that, it was all lovely, especially as I got out a ways. Still mild temps. Having honestly expected rain like EVERY DAY, I STILL have not been rained on for anything more than a few seconds. Says 90% in the forecast tomorrow for the park & falls, but it has been similarly ominous thus far and yet stayed lovely. I’m just going with it.

Stopped a few times on the way here to get meat and cheese and water and such … and the Pekaras here (bakeries) —- OMG. So far, my gut is OK … very different wheat vibe. I’ve eaten ALLLLLL day for less than 5 euros. See the meat & cheese & bread pics …. nom nom.
