Kelp Art and the Universe

Yesterday I did a meditation group focusing on intentions for the New Year. One thing of mine is procrastination and schedule/structure … As I was listening to the meditation, I started thinking about mandalas and sacred geometry and Fibonacci and spirals and fractals and patterns … it tweaked my brain a little bit about how I’m approaching the topic. Maybe I need to re-think the linear, and be more fluid, less structured, but think about patterns and habits … I’m not sure yet …

And then today, I am finishing a book I started a few months ago, and was reading about body consciousness, and how we are often caught up in labels and rules about our health and wellness, but maybe we should be quiet and listen to our gut and intuition about what we need vs. the doctor or Facebook, or whatever.

So on my walk today, I just listened to my body. I took a different route … I also decided that from now on, I’m not going to keep track of mileage. Or time. I’m just going to move. Not quantify. Just get fresh air and move. Until I feel like I’m done.

Along the way I stopped several times. First for seals. Then for KELP. OH MY GOSH, the KELP. It was like it had been arranged in these glorious artworks. Patterns in nature. Sacred Geometry. Art and beauty are everywhere. And things you see 100 times are never exactly the same. Because we are never exactly the same. And the moment you’re walking up the hill will never be the same again. And the next time I walk by the flowers, there might be more, or there might be fewer.

The universe is cool. In motion. Impermanent. Ever-changing. So are we. Because we are the universe. So there ya go :).

Happy Energy in 2024.
