Spent the morning in Pula … To be honest, I didn’t really plan this trip too much, so my mode has been to start Googling in the morning … “What to do in Pula?” … Hmmm. Ancient coliseum? Should probably do that. My car was parked for free from the night before, so dropped off my luggage and sat in the car, realizing that the coliseum was a 10-15 minute walk, decided to leave my car where it was.
The weather gods provided AGAIN and I walked around in a tank top in mid-upper 60s with blue sky weather. A guy in front of a shop asked me if I was British … apparently they wear tank tops too and think the 60s are warm (I did notice after that, most of the people were in long sleeves and jackets). I’ll take it.
Strolled around, listened to live music on the street, ate more carbs, and enjoyed the day.
Back to car, input directions to Grožnjan. It was just about an hour drive, but glorious as they all have been. Stopped at a store to get some food … meat & cheese & sweets. Yes, super carbing it up this trip.
The hardest part was actually finding my hostel … there really isn’t parking, so I muddled around off the beaten path (again) for about 20 minutes before I finally parked and tried again with walking directions.
Cute, tiny, cozy room through a restaurant …
