Here’s the thing about friends. There are acquaintances, fine. There are people in your circles, good … but then there are those people who, when you hug each other for minutes and feel like our souls caught up and we replenished each other without words … priceless.
The older I get, the more I truly treasure my people who just love me. And I just love them. It doesn’t need to be spoken that “I got you” … and I know you “got me.”
We just ARE.
It’s not being lucky or “blessed,” it’s cultivating relationships that support and uplift … and not done with a motive of “transaction,” or quid pro quo, it’s seeing and acknowledging and loving without expecting something in return.
There are certainly exceptions.
But man, I love my people beyond words. That is about the coolest thing I can think of.
